“Had a very nice two night stay at the Hilton Bankside. I had booked their vegan room, the first and only in the world (according to Hilton at least), out of curiosity and because I'm a vegetarian mainly due to moral basis.
After check-in I was given a tour of the hotel facilities and then the vegan suite itself. I was briefed about all the many small things they had implemented to certify it 100% vegan. All material, from the floors to the toiletries, was hand picked as well as products in the minibar which were complimentary as well. As a cherry on tip they had an all vegan room service menu.
Partly I admire Hilton for their ambition and efforts but partly I thinks it's sad it's so unusual that it's become a PR thing.
