I’ve used the Warwick Allerton probably a dozen times for business travel. All in all, it’s an excellent value. Reasonably priced rooms in an excellent, central location. The hotel has its flaws, which I’ll list below, but offers excellent overall value. I should point out that they also have an excellent gym.Here are some critiques: 1) The front desk almost never picks up the phone. I’ve waited for 30 minutes to get through during normal business hours without getting my call answered.2) The online booking system is buggy and can take days to send a confirmation email. On more than one occasion, I’ve double booked a reservation by accident because of this system.3) Rooms can be uncomfortably tight sometimes. Though beds are pretty comfortable.4) They are stingy on bath soap and shampoo.5) Their garbage cans are ridiculously small. For instance, many restaurant to-go containers won’t fit inside the garbage cans; in those instances, I’ve actually had to leave the hotel and toss my trash in a public garbage on Michigan Ave.6) Being next do a major medical center, there are loud ambulance sirens at all hours of night.

A bed. Old carpet, no where to charge your phone bedside. Old disregarded kinda look/vibe no closet/storage space other than 5 hangers and a very fragile looking tube. Very poor lighting on the bedroom area. When you flush it sounds like you broke the whole buildings water pipe. If you see this as a nice option to save $20/night DONT! Unless there’s a huge price difference to your next option, book the other one…. I will speak highly about the staff. There welcoming, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. And guys, I get that we just lived a world pandemic. But don’t try to use that excuse to not have housekeeping service “to protect guests and staff…” Deceiving photos….. picture it as a Motel 6 in a very nice location…. Still for me, not good enough location to justify the price.

Achei muito legal, a estrutura as pessoas tudo!! Talvez porque eu esteja apaixonada pela cidade.. mas tem detalhes que devem ser contatados aqui, manchas no teto de infiltração e o banheiro mt pequeninho, pra quem gosta de bancada para colocar perfume, maquiagem escovas de dente enao vale muito a pena. O banho em si é bom.

Boa tarde, Estive hospedada neste hotel do dia 26 ao dia 30 de maio deste ano. O hotel é bonito, limpo, ótima localização, mas os funcionários são péssimos atendentes. Eles não dão atenção. Eles não tem a menor paciência com hóspedes (como meu caso) que não sabem ingles fluente. Somos turistas. Este hotel pelo que vi, recebe hospedes de toda parte do mundo. Os funcionários deveriam receber um treinamento para serem mais atenciosos e pacientes com os hospedes. Se voltar a Chicago, não me hospedarei neste hotel de novo. E não indicarei para meus amigos, apesar de ter amado Chicago.

Bom dia! Eu tive um problema relacionado a uma entrega neste hotel. Fiz uma compra para ser entregue no dia 2 de outubro até as 10:30 da manhã. A empresa confirmou a entrega, mas o produto não foi entregue a minha amiga que estava hospedada no hotel. Aguardo ação no caso. Eu paguei frete noturno para que a entrega pudesse ser feita na data e ela não conseguiureceber o produto. Onde esta esse produto??? Aguardo

I was really excited to find a hotel deal online for this property. Located on magnificent mile, it is very convenient to shopping, eateries, and things to do. The hotel staff was extra friendly, even though there was no room service without a request in advance. I wanted to find out more about the hotel’s legendary happenings and famous guests, but there was no tour. I would’ve even settled for a pamphlet if were available.

Lovely hotel and great location! I was a little weary since some recent reviews indicated lack of customer service, but that was not my experience at all. We arrived right around check-in time, and there were a few others arriving at the same time, but the desk agent went as quick as they could. We were promptly checked in and the room was ready. We had booked a 2 queen suite and found it to be nice and plenty of room. Some reviews had indicated that suites were small, which again, was not my personal experience with our assigned room (perhaps other rooms can vary, it is a historic hotel after all). We did notice that where there was supposed to be a fridge in the cabinet, it was just an empty space. We also needed linens for the pull out couch, so I placed a call to customer service and requested both linens and a refrigerator. They had both items delivered within 10 minutes. He mentioned that some rooms had been renovated recently, and the refrigerator was probably moved during that and wasn't replaced yet. It was an easy fix anyhow. I will say the couch bed isn't that comfortable at all, the couch itself is probably a better option. The queen beds were extremely comfortable though! The black out curtains were great too, didn't even leave that annoying curtain gap that a lot of other hotels have. Location of the hotel was perfect, we were able to walk to a lot of places .

La ubicación del Hotel es excelente, todo los sitios importantes del Loop te quedan bastante cerca, el edificio es viejo pero tiene buen mantenimiento, el cuarto en que me quede en realidad era muy pequeño e incómodo y creo que falta mas personal en la recepción para atender a los huéspedes, el poco personal que encontré se puede decir que era muy amable y profesional, pero no son suficiente.

This hotel is fine, and nothing more. The location is fantastic, near transit and bus lines and lots of stores. The building is aging but it's maintained well enough. My room was a little dusty but nothing terrible. But for the price I paid the amenities were sorely lacking. My room didn't even have a coffee maker or any cups or glasses, a pretty basic amenity I would expect from even a 2 star hotel. In the bathroom they provided one single soap which I guess I was expected to split between the sink and the shower somehow. There is no housekeeping during your stay, not even on request. Check out time is 12pm but they'll start knocking on your door at 9am to see if you've left yet. Check in staff were pretty unfriendly. The experience of staying here was basically comparable to staying at a cheap motel, in a slightly nicer building.

This place is NOT a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. There is no microwave in the room. They have 1 on the second floor lobby for people to share. The rooms aren't the cleanest but it's doable. My room wasn't as small as I was expecting after reading other reviews. There was a strange smell but not unbearable. There was no breakfast or bar open. My husband is a simple man but he said he wouldn't stay there again. The staff was fairly friendly. The location is spectacular. The Hampton Inn is right next door. I'm sure they're better for the same money. All in all it wasn't my worse experience but I was expecting more from a place labeled as a 4 star hotel.

El Hotel está muy bien ubicado. El edificio es impersonal, no tiene bar ni restaurante, solamente unas máquinas de vending junto a recepción. Sin embargo las camas son muy confortables. El baño un poco sucio pero está bien. Buena calidad precio para un hotel solamente para dormir.

Bath door was warped from water damage on the bottom. Carpet was patched in in several spots and although it was a professional patch in the pattern they should have chose a dirty piece of carpet to match the existing flooring. It was comical the clean patch and the dirty existing carpet. Better yet, shampoo the room carpet. Bed was comfortable. Restroom was right for the room. King sized bed with only 4 non-king pillows, 2 firm and 2 soft. We were on the backside so view was not great, but we did not pay for the view so no disappointment there. The hotel was short staffed so the services were lacking but that was not the fault of the persons that showed up for work, they did their best. Location was fine although I am guessing due to the riots in Chicago during 2020-2021 most retailers fled the neighborhood due to the crime from those events. A few stayed but the area closes up very early now and there is way less persons in the area in the evening making for a loss of a vibrant feel that used to be before all the nonsense. It was a three block walk to the red line, so transportation was easy.

The king room over Michigan Ave was amazing! The bed was very comfortable! Nice sitting area with small couch! Small but great bathroom with an awesome shower! Staff was always polite, even let me relax in the lobby after checkout before I left town! Overall great stay, 10/10 recommend!

No nos pareció mala porque sabíamos a lo que íbamos con base en opiniones del hotel (no hacen la limpieza), pensé que si lo pedía por ser una estadía más larga (8 noches) la harían al menos un día, pero ni eso. La gente es mal encarada, y fuimos testigos de uno de su personal que trataba pésimo a un señor mayor que se le dificultaba el inglés. Yo asumí que conmigo eran “rudos” por ser de otra cultura y no me lo tomé personal pero definitivamente no te regalan ni una sonrisa. No hay servicio de nada, no solo de limpieza, no hay refill de café pero puedes pedirlo, no cambian toallas, puedes pedirlo si tienes estadía larga supongo porque vimos que se le negó a otros. El elevador dejó de funcionar un día y en general esperas mucho por él. La falta de limpieza diaria se nota en detalles del baño, paredes, alfombras. No hay restaurante, y a duras penas te dan vasos para que te sirvas agua del grifo. Lo bueno: la ubicación es EXCELENTE, el hotel no es feo, las habitaciones son cómodas y el Precio que al menos nosotros obtuvimos, por la ubicación fue muy bueno también. Si no tiene un descuento considerable supongo que valen la pena otros.

The hotel was beautiful, it's like traveled back to the past. And its location was perfect for our needs. We stayed one night on the 22nd floor in a King room with one king bed. The room was nice and clean. Unlike most online reviews about this hotel, our receptionists were nice, and we didn't experience the dirty carpet, uncleaned room, or the bed bugs issue, which was a relief. Overall was a great stay, except that there was no microwave in the room, and that there's a big garbage bin right in front of our room...it was quite a surprise!

Overall I wouldn't say that staying here was an unpleasant experience (3 nights), but it wasn't a good experience, either.The location of the hotel is phenomenal, but with so many other hotels along Michigan St I'd look elsewhere.The main things were cleaning and smoking in the rooms (not cigarettes).I have no qualms with recreational use of marijuana, especially in areas where it's legal, but hotels shouldn't allow it in their rooms.Every time we walked down the hallways to/from our room the smell from more than 1 room was overpowering and it was also on multiple floors (another couple we were with stayed on a different floor).Frankly I believe this should be akin to smoking cigarettes and result in an additional charge by the hotel.Again, no personal qualms with the morality of recreational use, especially when it's legal, but the overpowering smell is extremely off putting and not conducive to a pleasant experience.The other main issue was the cleanliness.There was obviously a cleaning staff as their was a cart 2-3 rooms down the entire time we were here (though I never personally saw a member of the cleaning staff).But overall the hotel just felt like it wasn't being tended to like it should.There was wine glass on the floor in the hallway the entire time we were there (3 nights) and I know it was the same glass because its location never changed.There were also small bits of debris here and there - again just overall didn't feel like cleanliness was one of their top priorities.TL;DR Recap - Price and location...great.Cleanliness...lacking.Overwhelming marijuana smell...off putting.3/5 stars, would not recommend unless you're just looking for the cheapest option close to the Magnificent Mile.

Overall the stay was good. Location is great!!We did have 2 issues: 1 - the room would not cool off. The night we arrived the room was very warm, this is common at hotels. When we got there I moved the thermostat from 72 to 65. We go to dinner and then called it a night and it was still warm.The next morning, it was still just as warm. Then I set the thermostat to 60 and we leave for the morning and afternoon. When we return it’s still just as warm. At this point, it should be freezing in the room…considering outside on this day (3/12/22) was in the 20s. At one point it seemed to have cooled some but apparently that was just from where we had been out and been walking. Once again we have a super warm night.The next morning, after 2 nights now, I say something to the front desk. The lady says that she’ll send someone up to look at it. Once again we leave for the day and we’re gone for about 12 hours. When we return that night, it’s still hot and the thermostat is still set on 60. We go through another warm night and we are checking out the next day.I mention it again that final morning and let her know (same lady) that the room is still extremely hot and that I wasn’t sure it had been worked on. She apologized and that was it.2 - on our final day/check out day. We had a late flight. We paid a little extra in order to be able to check out later in the afternoon. During our time hanging out in the room, room service came to our door twice to see when we were leaving. This wasn’t bad, just an inconvenience.

My husband and I flew into Chicago early on a Saturday. We arrived at the hotel a little before check in time but the staff was extra friendly and said our room was ready! We checked in early and...
