Re-creating the charm of the seaside village of Portofino Italy Universal's Loews Portofino Bay Hotel offers guests themed swimming pools excellent restaurants and an exclusive package of special theme park benefits. Universal's Loews Portofino features Italian-inspired architecture and canals leading to Universal's theme parks. Guests skip the lines at Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure hop aboard free water taxis connecting the property and Universal parks and get priority reservations at select resort restaurants. The resort's 750 luxurious rooms some overlooking the garden or bay feature marble trim rich textiles and elegant Italian furnishings. Pampering begins with waffle-comb bathrobes and plush beds boasting Sealy Posturepedic pillowtop mattresses down duvets and 300-thread-count cotton linens. High-tech perks include flat-panel HDTVs with premium cable and DVD players clock radios with iPod cables and Wi-Fi (for a fee in the rooms free in the lobby). There is a $25 extra charge per adult for triple and quad occupancy and pet-friendly rooms are available. Kids aged 17 and under stay free. Choose from the family pool with its sand beach huge fort and aqueduct-style waterslide the quieter villa pool or a lushly landscaped hillside pool. Enjoy nightly serenades from the balcony overlooking the piazza. The resort is within walking distance of both Universal Studios Florida® and Universal's Islands of Adventure®. Wet 'n Wild® waterpark is 10 minutes away and SeaWorld® Orlando is 17 minutes away. Orlando International Airport is 12 miles from the property.

“Beautiful hotel. Everyone is really nice & helpful. They have a water taxi that takes you to Universal Studios. There was a singer on a balcony singing to the outside courtyard. Mama Della's Restaurant:. The food was delicious. I had the short ribs, which melted in your mouth. Lindsay, our waitress, was so on top of things, it was almost like she read our minds. My husband said even the coffee was really good. There were also a couple of fellows going from table to table entertaining with English & Italian love songs.”

“This is truly a magnificent resort and stands as a true flagship for Universal Orlando. The grounds, rooms, & recreational areas are immaculate. The theming of the resort is done so well that it is easy to forget that you are at a hotel property. At no time did I feel like the resort was crowded and I was incredibly pleased with the proximity to the parks/city walk. The fact that the unlimited express pass is just icing on the cake. This is absolutely my favorite theme park resort including those resorts located a few miles down I-4.”
