“Update: I'm not sure that it was my review here, but what a difference a day makes. This morning the manager was present at the restaurant and it did have a positive influence. He did actually lead and helped out himself. I did also see the next level manager at the pool bar. This is great to see, I really want them to succeed. Keep it up!Observing this makes me want to come back next year and see how far they can get.An awesome hotel in an breathtaking location. This would be hands-down my favorite hotel in Cabo. The rooms and all the facilities are excellent. The staff is very friendly and is trying hard.😔 Management is somewhat out of its depth. Many of the staff may be new after the COVID-19 crisis, but it is not the staff, it is the processes. Staff is not set up for success. Management is not around to help and support the staff.There are no clear assignments. Different servers take orders without talking to each other. Tables are mixed up. Food sits somewhere and gets cold.They were instructed to push hotel guests for breakfast to the beach restaurant to make room for Timeshare sales in the main restaurant (this has stopped) . The beach restaurant is awesome but the kitchen is small and a lot of support is needed from the main kitchen. Staff runs between the locations to complete orders. Not the most efficient way.There are also a lot of small things that let me think that Management is not present enough. Broken bathroom vents, shower lights, door to the balcony does not close properly, only hot water from the shower. Just go to each room once a week and check, train the staff to look out for the small things, but Management is accountable. Set your staff up for success!It is probably not a permanent situation but the renovation work has to be mentioned. Some of the rooms are renovated. Unfortunately the air handlers are not isolated from the rest of the building. This lead to strong organic solvent smells in the room and in the whole building. Turning off the air conditioner helped, but because the smell was everywhere it did not solve the problem completely. Again some GEMBA walks could help.I really think they can do it.”
