“I travel for work a lot and have Gold status with Marriott BonVoy.In all my years of travel, this is the first time that my room was downgraded.I made the reservation weeks in advance.I checked in online two days ahead.When I got to the hotel, I was put in a room that was clearly downgraded with no explanation.When I inquired about it I was told that they were sold out and there is nothing they could do.How about just giving me the room I originally requested?My co-workers, who arrived after I did, received the room that that they (and I requested).The worst part is that the person working the front desk could not have cared any less!”
